Customer Service Rep-MFG

Job Summary

A growing manufacturing organization in San Fernando, CA is seeking a Customer Service Rep-MFG for a direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a customer-focused professional with 1-2 years of experience who enjoys supporting customers, coordinating orders, communicating with internal teams, and helping ensure a smooth customer experience from inquiry through delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, order updates, product information, and general service requests.
- Enter, review, and track customer orders while ensuring accuracy, timely processing, and clear communication.
- Coordinate with production, shipping, warehouse, sales, and operations teams to help resolve order status, delivery, and service-related issues.
- Maintain customer records, update account information, and document communications in internal systems.
- Support issue resolution for order discrepancies, delays, returns, credits, or related customer concerns.
- Provide professional, timely, and helpful service while supporting customer satisfaction and internal workflow efficiency.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $55,000 to $65,000 per year.
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Location: San Fernando, CA.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support customer order processing, order tracking, and service follow-up in a manufacturing environment.
- Communicate with customers and internal departments to resolve issues and provide accurate updates.
- Maintain accurate customer, order, and account documentation.
- Help ensure a responsive, professional, and positive customer experience.

- 1-2 years of customer service, customer support, order entry, or related experience.
- Experience supporting customers in a manufacturing, distribution, industrial, or product-based environment is strongly helpful.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally by phone and email.
- Accurate data entry skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize customer requests, follow up consistently, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems, email, Microsoft Office, and customer or order management systems.
- Positive attitude, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work well with sales, operations, production, and shipping teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience using ERP, CRM, or order management software.
- Familiarity with purchase orders, invoices, shipping documents, lead times, and production schedules.
- Prior experience supporting B2B customers in a manufacturing or distribution setting.
- Bilingual communication skills are a plus if aligned with customer needs.
