Responsibilities Support the implementation and oversight of a risk management framework that includes policies, procedures, and tools for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating risks. Independently review and challenge 1st Line of Defense (LOD) risk management activities, escalating emerging risks or issues when appropriate. Evaluate and challenge compliance-based independent monitoring and testing of 1st LOD risk management activities, escalating where appropriate. Support the establishment of risk limits or risk tolerances, where applicable. Identify, analyze, measure, and report on risks, including aggregate risks and issues. Challenge existing policies, standards, and training to support compliance with risk regulatory and corporate requirements; monitor and evaluate laws, rules, and regulations and implement necessary changes. Support leadership with regulatory relations, including Exam Management. Comply with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and implement policies and standards established by Internal Risk Management with respect to its own processes. Collaborate and communicate effectively with management to integrate risk management into strategic planning and decision‑making processes. Participate in risk data, innovation, and transformation initiatives, partnering with the business to ensure reporting adequately covers current and emerging risk. Stay informed about emerging risks and trends in the industry and recommend appropriate actions. Foster a risk‑aware culture by promoting open communication and collaboration on risk‑related matters. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, risk management, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in risk management, finance, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Strong understanding of risk management principles, practices, and regulatory requirements. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. Experience developing and implementing risk management frameworks and strategies. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated experience managing risk or other control functions for an investment team.
