Grand Canyon University (GCU) is a private, nondenominational Christian university located in Phoenix, Arizona. This position is part of the College of Natural Sciences. What you will do: Oversee daily operations of the research laboratory. Coordinate scheduling and workflow of lab activities and participant testing. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab environment. Monitor inventory and ensure lab supplies and consumables are stocked. Perform routine equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting. Train undergraduate students in research protocols, data collection procedures, and lab safety. Assist with recruitment, scheduling, and coordination of study participants. Ensure accurate and consistent data entry and record‑keeping. Assist with data cleaning, organization, and preliminary analysis. Maintain research documentation in compliance with IRB and institutional guidelines. Maintain secure storage of participant data and research records. Assist in developing and refining standard operating procedures (SOPs). What you need: Be admitted to a graduate–degree seeking program at GCU (certificate only programs do not satisfy this requirement). Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (if newly admitted the admission GPA is considered). Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 during employment. Be enrolled in at least 6 graduate level units leading to the degree as a “regular” (not provisional) student. Graduate assistants are eligible for a tuition waiver during the period employed (the waiver may be taxable income). Graduate assistants must complete HR employment workflow processes and pre‑employment background checks. A maximum of 29 work hours per week. Graduate assistants are not eligible for GCU’s employment benefits, except those stipulated by law. Maintain the University’s Student Code of Conduct.
