SPR Engineer I-II

POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate engineer to join the SPR Engineering Team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to perform various level engineering activities for planning, research, study, design, construction, modification and maintenance, operation, and optimization of wastewater treatment facilities or entry-level engineering activities for SPR’s Engineering Division.

Engineer I
- Performs specific portions of complex engineering assignments under the direction of more experienced staff. Collects, analyzes, and makes recommendations concerning technical engineering data.
- Performs basic engineering calculations, analysis, and modeling.
- Reviews existing drawings, plans, and specifications for new facilities and construction as assigned.
- Inspect and track construction projects and coordinate activities and information as needed.
- Assists in the collection and analysis of wastewater samples for pilot research and optimization. Interprets lab results and data for projects.
- Prepares presentations, written memoranda, reports, and specifications.
Every Engineer I must be able to:

Engineer II

QUALIFICATIONS
Engineer I
Education, License, Certification, and Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, chemical, or environmental engineering.
- No minimum experience.
- Engineer Intern (EI) certification or ability to acquire within six (6) months of start date.
- Basic knowledge of engineering principles, practices, methods and standards.
- Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment.

Computer skills required to work with Microsoft Office, Adobe, Bluebeam Revu, artificial intelligence tools, and hydraulic modeling software.

Ability to conduct field work including, piloting, sampling, construction inspection, and other duties as assigned.

Good verbal and written communication skills to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external project stakeholders and colleagues, support meeting participation, and prepare emails, presentations, and technical memoranda.
Engineer II
Education, License, Certification, and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, chemical, or environmental engineering.
- Three (3) years of minimum engineering experience.
- Engineer Intern (EI) certification.
- Intermediate knowledge of engineering principles, practices, methods, and standards.
- Intermediate knowledge of wastewater treatment.
- Computer skills required to work with Microsoft Office, Adobe, Bluebeam Revu, artificial intelligence tools, and hydraulic modeling software.
- Ability to conduct field work including, piloting, sampling, construction inspection, and other duties as assigned.

Good verbal and written communication skills to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external project stakeholders and colleagues, support meeting participation, and prepare emails, presentations, and technical memoranda.
Desired Qualifications (All Levels)
- Valid Colorado driver's license and a clear or acceptable MVR.
*An equivalent combination of education, training and relevant job experience may be substituted.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (in addition to above requirements):
New hires must, as a condition of employment, pass the following pre-offer and post-offer/hire processes: in-person interviews, reference checks, and background checks, which may include local police check, DMV check, drug screen, and fingerprint checks through CBI/FBI.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Encounters with hazardous conditions (including electrical currents, heavy equipment, fumes, bodily fluids, extreme temperatures, threatening behaviors, inadequate lighting, restricted movement, or intense noise) is Infrequent (1-10% of Time).

- $79,928- $119,892/Annual Salary
