As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Intake in Santa Fe Springs, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and conduct routine patrols to help deter incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and delivery documentation, and control the entry and exit of authorized employees, visitors, vendors, and vehicles.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle logs; issue and collect access credentials in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
