PURCHASING AGENT

ACD Distribution, a leader in the hobby, gaming and toy industry is seeking an energetic, results-driven Purchasing Agent in Middleton, WI! As a Purchasing Agent, you are responsible for executing the day-to-day activities required to support an assigned set of vendors. Overall Responsibilities Maintain productive and positive business relationships with assigned suppliers/publishers. Update and maintain product databases and ensure product and invoice accuracy. Study and interpret sales data looking for patterns and trends to make purchasing decisions. Stay familiar with and educated about current market conditions and trend variations within the industry. Manage inventory levels subject to final approval by the Purchasing Manager and/or Executive Vice President. Provide accurate and current product information to sales and marketing. Work with warehouse receivers to resolve discrepancies and miscellaneous issues as they arise. Collaborate closely with department members to aid in best practices decision making. Stay current and educated regarding all current and upcoming supplier product offerings. Attend trade shows and visit vendor locations as assigned. Complete all other reports, projects and tasks as assigned. Qualifications Work experience in purchasing, supply management or an equivalent field. Familiarity with hobby games or toy industry products and trends. Good written and verbal communication, negotiation, and networking skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel. Physical Requirements & Environment This position operates in an professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. Compensation Compensation: $18.75 - $20.20 dependent on experience.
