Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to identify their physical limitations and disabilities.
• Develop, implement, and reassess individualized treatment plans, tailored to meet each patient's specific needs and goals.
• Engage and educate patients, their families, and caretakers about rehabilitation exercises, providing guidance on at-home care and lifestyle modifications.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment sessions in compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and communication throughout the treatment process.
• Participate in community outreach programs and educational events, enhancing the visibility and impact of our services within the Alexandria community.
• Attend ongoing education sessions to enhance your own competencies and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Rehabilitation Center serves a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, those with chronic pain, and patients overcoming sports injuries. As a physical therapist, you will work with patients of all ages, from children to seniors, addressing various functional challenges through personalized therapy and rehabilitation strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• State License in Physical Therapy is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with patients and colleagues.
• Proficiency in computer skills and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and billing purposes.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist is required. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in a rehabilitation setting, with competencies in areas such as manual therapy techniques, aquatic therapy, and/or post-operative rehabilitation protocols.

Compensation and Benefits
