Blood Center Distribution Supervisor

Job Overview Supervisor, Inventory & Management Distribution (IMD) responsible for coordinating, distributing and delivering biologic products to client hospitals. The supervisor oversees daily operations and works as part of the IMD team. Work Schedule Full‑time position: Monday‑Friday 8 AM‑4 PM with on‑call duties and coverage on 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and/or weekends as needed. Supervisor Responsibilities Support department and MVRBC initiatives. Oversee assigned staff, including counseling, scheduling, and payroll duties. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in compliance with SOPs, including logistics and delivery of optimal customer service. Participate in preparation of departmental budget and benchmarking. Monitor departmental and customer inventory management. Validate processes and equipment. Develop and oversee departmental training. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent plus an additional 2 years of formal preparation preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service or inventory management preferred. Minimum 1 year experience in a supervisory/management role preferred. Experience in blood or pharmaceutical inventory management, hospital customer relations, or logistics preferred. Outstanding interpersonal skills in dealing with all levels of customers and staff (paid and volunteer). Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities effectively. Working knowledge of computers. Valid driver’s license. Ability to operate Blood Center vehicles. Physical requirements: ability to stand, sit, and perform regular physical exertion such as reaching, bending, and lifting for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
