Sonographer

SonographerAs our Sonographer, you will utilize advanced sonographic equipment to record detailed images of blood, organs, tissues, and bodily masses, including unborn fetuses, providing critical visual data for diagnosis and prenatal care.Every day you will directly interact with patients, explaining procedures, answering questions, and preparing them for scans. You will meticulously operate sonographic equipment, adjusting settings and patient positions to ensure clear, diagnostic images. You will monitor and care for patients to ensure their safety and comfort, select and examine images for pathologies, and present preliminary findings to Physicians.To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent patient service and communication skills, sharp eyesight, and meticulous attention to detail. You will demonstrate strong technical proficiency, sound judgment, and advanced decision-making skills to effectively capture and interpret sonographic data, ensuring optimal diagnostic support.Responsibilities include:Responsible for the production of high quality images in ultrasound. Performing imaging tests following approved policies & procedures in accordance with provider and/or radiologist ordersDependable, reliable and can relate positively and professionally with patients, visitors and facility staff.Performing quality control; quality assurance and preventative maintenanceAble to work independently as well as in an interdepartmental setting (including inpatient, outpatient, portable and OR)Strong patient care and customer services skillsPatient safety, education, staff safetyJob Requirements:Required:Graduate from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography programRegistered Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) certificationHospital/clinical experience in sonographyPreferred:Two years minimum experienceRegistered Cardiac Electr, within 6 - months orRegistered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, within 6 - months orRegistered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, within 6 - months orRegistered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, within 6 - months orRegistered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Abdomen, within 6 - months orRegistered Technologist Computed Tomography, within 6 - months orRegistered Technologist Radiography ARRT, within 6 - months orRegistered Vascular Specialist, within 6 - months orRegistered Vascular Technologist, within 6 - monthsWhere You'll WorkIn Central Minnesota you'll find quality health care as near to you as CHI St. Gabriel's Health in Little Falls, part of CommonSpirit Health.
