Job Description summary:

Responsible for overseeing each aspect of a catered event from the initial planning, setup, and breakdown of the event. Directs all staff that is on each catered event. Ensures that his/her assigned events and activities are organized and executed, resulting in the complete satisfaction of the guests attending the event.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Provide excellent guest service to both internal and external guests.

• Actively supports the company culture of creating a fun and entertaining experience for internal and external guests.

• Responsible for directing the entire banquet staff, by assigning duties to each associate for every event.

• Maintain constant contact with host during each event to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

• Ensures that all food and beverage items are presented and served correctly.

• Ensures that all relevant and applicable paperwork is filled out correctly.

• Preparation of the event area or room in its entirety for a function or event, prior to the guest’s arrival.

• Responsible for prompt, efficient and courteous service of food and beverages to guests in accordance with company policies, procedures and standards.

• Monitors guest needs on a continual basis ensuring all requests will be promptly fulfilled.

• Performs as a team member with venue hosts, supervisors, food servers, bus people and kitchen staff in producing a smooth and efficiently run operation.

• All other duties as assigned.

  EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED required. Two to three years server experience required.
