Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

In this position, you’ll collaborate with special education teams, partner with teachers and paraprofessionals, and oversee a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Your primary locations include an elementary campus serving students in kindergarten through sixth grade in self-contained classrooms, and a high school with dedicated programs focusing on independent life skills for students in ninth through twelfth grades.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Arizona
• Proven experience working in school-based or pediatric settings, preferably with students who have significant cognitive and adaptive challenges
• Proficiency in designing and implementing individualized interventions
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for interdisciplinary teamwork
• Previous supervisory experience or readiness to guide a COTA is highly desirable

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver direct therapy to students across both campuses, adapting interventions to each student’s needs
• Supervise and support a COTA, ensuring interventions align with goals and best practices
• Document progress, participate in IEP meetings, and communicate effectively with families and staff
• Foster a supportive environment that empowers students toward greater independence
