$200.00 Hiring Bonus $20.00 Hourly

Location(s):Penn Hills Township Elementary School located at 1079 Jefferson Rd Pittsburgh PA 15235

Hours: Monday through Friday am shift 7am-9am PM Shift 3pm-6pm either shift or both

Elementary Education, Special education and early child care education associates or bachelors.

Human Service Field Degrees also qualify in the following areas( social work, psychology, sociology, criminal justice, human development/family studies/counseling/ mental health counseling/nursing-health sciences, human service management, home economics/family and consumer sciences.

Other degrees outside the education and human service degrees listed above will NEED 30 ADDITIONAL credits on your transcript in the subjects of elementary education, early child care education or special education.

We're looking for an early learning professional who:

• Enjoys working with children in a structured, high-energy environment
• Takes child safety seriously and follows procedures closely
• Is flexible, reliable, and ready to jump in wherever needed

In this role, you will:

• Assist with daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts) while encouraging positive peer interactions
• Make child safety the top priority at all times
• Keep the space clean and organized
• Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included
• Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff

Requirements: A GROUP LEADER SHALL HAVE ATTAINED ONE OF THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS BELOW

• A group supervisor shall have attained one of the following qualification
  levels:
  (1) A CDA or a associate's degree from an accredited college or university in early
  childhood education, child development, special education, elementary
  education
  or the human services field and 2 years of experience with children.
  (2) An associate's degree from an accredited college or university, including
  30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special
  education, elementary education or the human services field and 3 years of
  experience with children.

• CPR and First Aid certification required
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds)
