Clinical Supervisor

Clinical SupervisorClinical Supervisors provide direct supervision of graduate student clinicians in the department's speech and language clinic. Duties of this position include: assisting in developing a clinic caseload appropriate for graduate student involvement, providing information required for insurance billing, providing direct supervision of graduate student clinicians, meeting with graduate student clinicians to discuss clinic progress, reviewing and editing required student paperwork as needed, ensuring that required documentation is posted to the appropriate medical record system, providing written feedback to students at midterm and end of semester, approving graduate student clinician clock hours, participating in scheduled clinical education meetings, and completing required online training as assigned.Responsibilities include developing and managing a clinic caseload, providing required patient documentation for timely insurance billing, excellent written and oral communication skills with patients, staff, and student clinicians, and keeping up to date with compliance training, licensure, and certification requirements.Qualifications include a master's degree in speech-language pathology, NYS license in speech-language pathology, certificate of clinical competence in speech-language pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, computer use to complete written documentation, ability to access web-based system for approving clinical clock hours, posting information in electronic medical record, submitting billing information, submission of timesheet, and at least two hours of continuing education in supervision.Maximum Salary: USD $48.75/Hr.Minimum Salary: USD $48.75/Hr.
