The Clinical Applications Specialist is a critical customer-facing role responsible for delivering high-quality, hands-on clinical training and application support for Omega Medical Imaging systems. This role represents the “Face of Omega” and is key to ensuring customers are confident, competent, and satisfied with their system use. The Clinical Applications Specialist works directly with physicians and clinical staff, providing on-site system validation, training, and integration assistance while promoting user success and safety. The Clinical Applications Specialist is a critical customer-facing role responsible for delivering high-quality, hands-on clinical training and application support for Omega Medical Imaging systems. This role represents the “Face of Omega” and is key to ensuring customers are confident, competent, and satisfied with their system use. The Clinical Applications Specialist works directly with physicians and clinical staff, providing on-site system validation, training, and integration assistance while promoting user success and safety. Key Responsibilities
- Train physicians and clinical staff in the safe, proper, and nuanced use of the Omega imaging system, including emergency procedures and troubleshooting, ensuring clinical teams are confident, competent, and safe before operating the system independently.
- Promote a positive user experience and system adoption through ongoing clinical guidance and refresher training to support long-term customer success.
- Maintain presence during live clinical procedures as appropriate, adapting quickly to dynamic environments.
- Perform on-site validation and system testing to confirm operational readiness and alignment with customer workflows.
- Verify software and hardware settings made during the installation and FSE turnover phases, including video routing, network connectivity, cabling, and third-party equipment configuration (Steris, Olympus, etc.), and make changes or corrections as necessary to meet customer needs.
- Serve as a trusted liaison between customers and Omega's internal teams (Service, Engineering, Sales, Production), maintaining professional and timely communication while fostering strong relationships with end users and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors for successful integration with external equipment and platforms.
- Provide remote and on-site support for customer service issues, responding in real time during clinical use and applying critical thinking in high-stakes environments.
- Perform minor field service tasks such as software updates, basic hardware adjustments, and PACS/EMR integration support.
- Maintain a broad and evolving understanding of Omega system functionality.
- Maintain current vendor credentialing (e.g., Vendormate, Green Security, Symplr).
- Travel frequently across the U.S., including last-minute deployments.
- Complete administrative tasks such as work orders, trip reports, and expenses on time.
- Practice ALARA radiation safety.
- Support Omega's regulatory compliance and quality initiatives.
- Support clinical research efforts involving Omega systems at customer or beta sites and gather and report clinical feedback to Product, Engineering, and Sales teams.
- Promote system benefits to clinicians and collaborate with Sales to drive adoption.
- Engage with customers after hours when necessary.
- 3–5 years of clinical or applications training experience in medical imaging, especially in fluoroscopy or interventional endoscopy.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Sciences, Nursing, or related healthcare discipline.
- ARRT or similar certification preferred.
- Proficiency in DICOM, PACS, HIS/RIS, and EMR systems like Cerner or Epic.
- Comfort with system configuration and troubleshooting in clinical environments.
- Strong communication, teaching, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in live clinical settings.
- Detail-oriented and committed to safety and excellence.
- Valid driver’s license and air travel eligibility.
- Flexibility to work extended or irregular hours as needed.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in clinical and procedural environments.
