Neonatology Physician

• Board Certified in Neonatology (Required)
• Louisiana medical license or IMLC eligibility (Required)

• Minimum of 1 year of post-fellowship clinical experience (Required)
• Recent Neonatologist experience within the past 12 months (Required)
• Must have been clinically active within the past year (Required)
• Minimum of 6 months of clinical experience within the specialty applying for (Required)

• Provide Neonatology coverage in a Level III NICU
• Conduct newborn nursery rounds
• Home call after daily rounds
• Collaborate with Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and multidisciplinary care teams
• Provide in-house physician coverage while the NNP transport team is out on transports

• 34-bed Level III NICU
• Collaborative staffing model:
  • 2 Neonatologists
  • 4 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners
• 24/7 in-house NNP coverage
• Approximately 1,500-2,000 annual deliveries
• Evidence-based, quality-driven neonatal care environment

• Central Louisiana's largest Level III NICU
• Region's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
• 19-bed pediatric unit
• 29-bed well-baby nursery
• 26-bed OB/Postpartum unit
