Tax Specialist

Job Description
The Tax Specialist will assist in the preparation of the Company's Federal, State, and Local tax returns and related tax calculations using tax preparation software. This role is responsible for the maintenance of a tax depreciation system and other calculations and projections related to fixed assets.
Essential/Primary Duties:
- Assist in the preparation of the Company's Federal, State, and Local tax returns and related tax calculations
- Assist with maintenance of a tax depreciation system and other calculations/projections related to fixed assets
- Assist with sales tax reporting and compliance
Secondary Duties:
- Assist with accounting and tax special projects
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance and 1-2 years of relevant tax experience. CPA preferred.
Competency/Skill Requirements:
- Experience with maintaining Fixed Asset System (Sage FAS preferred)
- Experience with tax preparation software (OneSource preferred)
- Experience with sales tax reporting and compliance (Vertex preferred)
- Excels at working independently; ability to handle responsibilities and/or problems with little supervision.
- Exhibit excellent organizational skills; ability to effectively work on multiple questions, requests, and/or projects concurrently
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office and ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
