CICU/CVICU Registered Nurse

Location: Maryland

Assignment Duration: This is a 16-week contract position.

Schedule: Rotating shifts of 3x12 hours (Days: 07:00 - 19:30; Nights: 19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled CICU/CVICU Registered Nurse with experience to provide high-quality care to patients with complex cardiac conditions. This role requires a strong foundation in cardiovascular care, including expertise in advanced mechanical support devices.

Responsibilities:

Provide critical care to adults and geriatric patients in a high-acuity environment.
Administer medications, manage IV drips, and monitor patient responses.
Utilize advanced cardiac support devices, including IABP and Impella.
Perform bedside procedures such as central line and A-line insertions.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
Ensure adherence to nursing protocols and best practices in the CVICU setting.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in CICU/CVICU nursing.
Active Maryland state RN license, or compact RN license.
Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and CPI required; NIHSS and CCRN preferred.
Proficient with Epic charting system.
