Our client, a Professional Services company, is seeking an Content Strategist to shape the governance foundation of a major digital transformation for a State agency.

This is a strategy-first role - you'll define the content standards, taxonomy, migration plan, editorial workflows, and training materials the whole project is built on.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute content strategies that align with company goals, brand identity, and marketing targets

Research and analyze target audiences, market trends, and competitor content to inform strategic decisions

Create editorial calendars and ensure the content team follows a consistent schedule and style guide

Collaborate with designers, marketers, product teams, and other stakeholders to deliver content that meets both creative and business needs

Oversee content governance by defining processes, guidelines, and quality standards for content creation and distribution

Required Skills

Required Skills:

7-10 years content strategy experience

Strong governance, taxonomy/metadata, and migration planning background

Experience building playbooks, SOPs, and training materials

Ability to work with scientists, researchers, and non-technical teams

Higher ed, public sector, or research institution experience preferred

Engagement is front-loaded (heaviest Nov-Mar) - ideal for a senior practitioner managing multiple projects.
