Line Cook

t at the General Store is seeking a line cook to work directly with our chef at the restaurant Easton, Maryland. Pay is $17.00–$22.00 per hour based on experience, plus flexible scheduling and dining discounts. You will manage your station from prep to service and cook with a team that has your back. The ideal candidates must posses the flexibility to adapt & become part of a winning team, express a willingness to learn in a professional environment, and exhibit the integrity & work ethic that coincide with the demands of operating a busy restaurant.
Duties include:

Prep and Station Setup

• Mise en Place
  

• Chop vegetables, slice meats, and measure ingredients

• Make sauces, dressings, and portion food items  

Cooking and Service

• Cook food using grills, fryers, sauté pans, or ovens

• Follow recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards

• Read food tickets and time dishes so orders finish together

• Communicate with other cooks and servers for smooth service  

Safety and Cleanup

• Clean and sanitize counters, equipment, and cutting boards

• Follow health department and food safety rules

• Label, date, and store leftover food properly

• Check inventory and report low stock to chefs
