Job Title: IT Specialist Location: Hoffman Estates, IL Employment: Temp (4 months) Industry: Manufacturing Compensation: $34.00/hr. Schedule: 40 hours/week – 1st shift. About the Opportunity This role supports the site directly onsite all week with a service bar / genius bar style service. Supports all End User Compute, Networking patching, smart hands, Audio visual / conference room / MTR assistance. Requires understanding of PC and MAC, OT networks, and M365 office suite items. What You'll Do Perform IT operations and maintenance activities according to approved procedures, guidelines, and standards. Support customization and facilitate IT operations and maintenance processes. Implement programs and procedures for safeguarding data/information security and safety. Execute or organize relevant testing. Design and document existing and changed IT operational processes. Develop necessary service levels to fulfill business requirements. Perform 2nd-level user help desk activities, individual coaching and training. Adopt existing concepts, methodologies, etc., to create new ways of approaching and fulfilling specific internal and external client requests or project requirements. Position requires senior professional expertise, extensive functional, commercial or technical knowledge in an area of competence. Integrate analysis, development, testing and implementation. Interpret and functionally influence policy and guidelines in the business/technology area, and develop processes and systems to deliver functional objectives. Plan own work according to targets agreed, within a quarterly up to an annual cycle, integrating resources in a project-driven environment. Provide functional advice and guidance to colleagues and customers. Transfer and apply know‑how to various contexts. Improve existing processes and approaches. Job Requirements High School Diploma or GED. 8+ years of experience in IT operations, technical support, help desk, or infrastructure support environments. Master’s domain knowledge. Deep professional know‑how in one sub job family. Solid professional judgment and problem‑solving competence. Background check subject upon offer.
