Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Assistant provides day-to-day support for the Bank's marketing initiatives through administrative and marketing-related tasks. The Marketing Assistant's responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting with the production of high-quality marketing collaterals and graphics for internal and external use, editing photos and videos, writing copy, and project work.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for a variety of marketing projects.
- Perform daily administrative tasks to support department operations.
- Assist in the production and distribution of marketing materials.
- Create detailed and visually appealing collaterals in accordance with the Southern First brand standards.
- Assist in the creation of content for social media channels.
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills, Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is required.
- Excellent working knowledge of Windows including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Familiarity with social media and marketing platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Canva.
- Basic photography, video editing, and graphic design skills.
- Adept in clear and concise copywriting, editing, and proofreading.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and professionalism to represent the Bank in a positive way in dealing with clients and other team members.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exhibit a high degree of integrity.
Work Conditions
- This position may occasionally require the ability to attend networking events after hours.
- This position must be able to sit for long periods of time as the position involves most of the time spent at a computer.
- This position requires little to no travel.
