Hours/Week: 36-40 hours (based on 3-4 shifts per week)

Duration: 13 weeks (open to extension)

Employment Type: Travel/Renewable contract

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS (required); NRP preferred

Experience: Minimum 2 years PICU experience; cross-trained preferred; pediatric and adult ICU float possible

Hourly Pay: $53.60 (included in pay package discussed upon application)

What You'll Do

• Provide specialized nursing care for pediatric patients in the PICU setting
• Monitor patient vitals, titrate medications (pressors, insulin, sedation, pain drips)
• Assist with procedures such as PIV, CVL, and wound care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including RT, hospitalists, intensivists, and resource nurses
• Ensure accurate charting using Meditech Expanse EMR
• Support patient and family needs with compassionate, family-oriented care
• Float to Adult ICU or Med/Tele if qualified and approved

What You Need

Required:

• Active RN licensure in the state
• Minimum 2 years PICU experience, with Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and other applicable certifications
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
• Proficiency in PIVs, CVL, telemetry, wound care, drains, wound vacs
• Comfort with titrating pressors, insulin, heparin, sedation, and pain medications
• BLS, ACLS certifications

Preferred:

• Experience floating to Adult ICU or Med/Tele
• NRP certification
• Previous travel or acute care experience in a similar setting
