Position: Healthcare Administrative Specialist
Type: Contract
Compensation: $40–$50/hour
Location: Remote
Role Responsibilities
- Evaluate and streamline patient access workflows, including registration, scheduling, and insurance verification.
- Design efficient processes for prior authorizations and utilization support through payer portals.
- Review and manage claims and revenue cycle operations to ensure timely submission and resolution.
- Develop strategies for remittance and payment posting , ensuring accurate reconciliation against clinical charges.
- Collaborate with providers and payers to enhance credentialing and enrollment processes.
- Work independently and asynchronously to optimize health information management and practice administration.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- 3+ years of daily, hands-on experience in a healthcare administrative/back -office role.
- Direct experience with payer portals (e.g., Availity , Optum/Change Healthcare , Waystar ).
- Currently working in a healthcare administrative role.
- Based in the United States .
Preferred
- Experience as a Practice Administrator, Medical Office Manager, or Revenue Cycle Specialist.
- Background in Health Information Management or medical records administration.
