Mobile Maintenance Fleet Technician

Service area: Fort Worth, TX
Schedule :2nd Shift - Monday thru Friday, 12:00pm to 8:00pm with availability to be on call and work Saturday if necessary
Compensation : $24+/hr. (based on experience) + full benefits

I dealease  with Southwest International Trucks is hiring a highly skilled  Mobile Maintenance Fleet Technician for the Fort Worth area. The  Mobile Maintenance Fleet Technician will have a full-time schedule, with access to full benefits and company incentives.

Mobile Maintenance Fleet Technician Responsibilities:

• Manage inventory control on the mobile truck and keep the vehicle properly stocked.
• Maintain availability for after-hours service calls and be available for an open work schedule.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding the work. Foster positive customer relations.
• Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnoses malfunctions and perform repair.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
• Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended
• Communicate with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
• Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
• Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
• Ensures that customers' trucks are kept clean. Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
• Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
• Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Mobile Maintenance Fleet Technician Requirements:

• Individuals will be expected to independently diagnosis, repair and/or replace major components.
• Must be 18 years of age
• 3 years of hands-on diesel mechanic experience
• Must be able to read and comprehend instruction manuals and diagnostic charts
• Computer Skills & Data Entry (Diagnostics Experience Preferred)
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record, CDL a plus
• Possess own tools and toolbox
