Air Quality Specialist

Overview Air Quality Specialist (Mid-Senior Level) Location: Houston, Texas Join a growing environmental consulting team known for technical excellence, collaboration, and career development . This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse air quality projects across the oil & gas and chemical sectors , helping clients navigate complex regulations while contributing to sustainable, compliant operations. Responsibilities Prepare air permit applications , including Permits by Rule (PBRs) Perform air dispersion modeling (AERMOD required) Conduct emissions calculations and regulatory applicability analyses Support compliance with TCEQ and New Mexico regulations Draft reports and submit documentation to regulatory agencies Advise clients on compliance strategies and project execution Collaborate with internal teams and support multi-state projects Qualifications Bachelor\'s (or higher) in Environmental, Chemical, or related Engineering field 8-12 years of experience (consulting strongly preferred) Strong experience with Texas air permitting (PBR focus) Experience with AERMOD modeling Knowledge of New Mexico regulations Background in oil & gas or chemical industry Familiarity with NSR, Title V, PSD, NSPS, NESHAP Preferred Master\'s degree or research experience Multi-state permitting experience (Northeast/Northwest a plus) Strong technical writing and ability to manage multiple projects Ideal Candidate Mid-level, hands-on contributor (not junior or purely managerial) Able to quickly take ownership of active workload Strong collaborator with a consulting mindset Interested in growing air dispersion modeling expertise #J-18808-Ljbffr LVI Associates
