Waterview Hills Campus is home to Waterview Hills and Salem Hills Rehabilitation & Healthcare: two facilities committed to providing outstanding subacute rehab and long‑term skilled nursing care. Together, they offer patients the best rehab and nursing care they can obtain after hospital discharge. Assist in planning, organizing, developing, and implementing Occupational Therapy services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by the Director of Rehabilitation and/or the Administrator, to assure that a high degree of quality resident care is maintained at all times. Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) providing PRN (as‑needed) rehabilitation services in the facility. Evaluate and treat geriatric patients with complex medical, cognitive, and functional needs. Develop individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, daily living skills, and overall functional independence. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including nurses, physicians, speech therapists, and physical therapists, to deliver coordinated patient‑centered care. Be skilled in adaptive equipment training, fall prevention strategies, and patient/caregiver education. Provide flexible, responsive, high‑quality care across variable schedules and patient acuity levels. Requirements Must possess a current license and registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the State of NY. Must possess current malpractice insurance, license in good standing. Must be dedicated to providing compassionate care as an Occupational Therapist. Energetic, enthusiastic, committed, and passionate about quality care. Must be genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and sometimes challenging residents. Patience, a cheerful disposition, and willingness to assist any residents and co‑workers. Excellent communication, customer service, and organization skills. Trusted to work independently and in a team environment. Able to work well under pressure, flexible, and will work harmoniously with all staff.
