Client Manager Associate, Premier Market Guardian's Group Benefits Client Management team is hiring a Client Manager Associate to manage a client book of business in the 2‑99 life space. The role focuses on persistency, growth, and profitability through relationship development with clients, brokers, and internal partners. Responsibilities Build relationships with brokers/producers/plan holders for groups with less than 100 enrolled lives. Interpret, deliver, and communicate renewals, plan options, and add issue quotes to brokers and clients. Review experience and utilization reports with Sales Reps for groups under 100 lives, and package appropriate reports. Proactively identify add issue opportunities using Salesforce Reports and other strategies; generate quotes. Follow up on renewals and add issue status, engaging Sales Reps as needed. Negotiate renewal rate relief and provide alternative plan options. Serve as subject‑matter expert on Guardian systems, products, and workflow procedures. Qualifications Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong customer‑service soft skills and high mathematical aptitude. Consultative, negotiation, persuasion, and influencing skills with a sales orientation. Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships at all levels. Client‑focused approach, accountability, planning, and organization. Adaptability, ability to work independently and in a group setting. Computer proficiency: Outlook, Skype, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Salesforce, GCRS, Siebel, CPS, Phoenix, Business Objects, etc. Solid knowledge of group insurance products, contracts, services, and underwriting principles. Education: BA or BS degree preferred; work experience may be considered equivalent. Experience: 3‑5 years in insurance, preferably in a sales environment; success in servicing brokers/customers. Compensation and Benefits Variable compensation includes persistency and renewal target bonuses and cross‑sell/add‑issue bonuses per the Client Manager Associates Incentive plan. Salary ranges from $50,130.00 to $82,365.00, adjusted for education, experience, and qualifications. Additional annual or sales incentives may apply. Location & Schedule Preferred locations: Chicago, IL or Indianapolis, IN. Hybrid work arrangement: partial in office, partial remote. Licensing and Compliance Must achieve required industry licensing within 90 days of hire and maintain license through ongoing continuing education.
