Cardiovascular Care Unit (CVU) Registered Nurse – Day Shift | Travel Contract


We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Care Unit (CVU) Registered Nurse to join a high-acuity cardiac care team in a leading acute care hospital setting. This opportunity is ideal for critical care nurses with strong cardiovascular experience who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.


Position Details
Specialty: Cardiovascular Care Unit (CVU)
Shift: 12-Hour Days | 7:00 AM Start
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
EMR: Epic
Key Responsibilities
Provide care for medium to high-acuity cardiovascular patients
Monitor and manage patients with cardiac and critical care conditions
Care for pre-operative and post-operative cardiac surgery patients
Assess and respond to changes in patient condition
Administer medications and manage cardiac monitoring equipment
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Float to other patient care units as needed
Patient Population Includes
Cardiac diagnoses and telemetry patients
Pre/Post CABG and vascular surgery patients
Acute Myocardial Infarction (MI)
Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
Arrhythmia monitoring
Post pacemaker insertion
Critical care and progressive care patients
Requirements
Active California RN License required
BLS and ACLS Certifications required
Minimum 3 years of recent Critical Care or Cardiovascular RN experience required
Previous traveler experience preferred
Epic charting experience required
Strong cardiac assessment and critical thinking skills
