Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse – Outpatient Surgery | Day Shift Travel Contract


We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join a busy outpatient surgical team at a Level II Trauma Center. This opportunity is ideal for perioperative nurses who excel in fast-paced surgical environments and are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.


Position Details
Specialty: Operating Room / Perioperative Nursing
Shift: 8-Hour Day Shifts | Varied Start Times
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Work Setting: Outpatient Surgery Center
EMR: Epic
Key Responsibilities
Provide perioperative nursing care in outpatient surgical procedures
Circulate and assist during surgical cases
Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and surgical equipment
Monitor patient safety and maintain sterile technique throughout procedures
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical teams
Document patient care accurately within the EMR system
Float to the main OR department when needed
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and surgical safety standards
Requirements
Active California RN License required
BLS Certification required
Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room RN experience required
Previous travel assignment experience preferred
Epic charting experience required
ACLS preferred
PALS preferred
Experience in circulating and scrub roles preferred
