Community Manager

Role Overview
Help create a positive, collaborative, and engaged online community by providing responsive support, moderating conversations, and ensuring members feel welcome and heard.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and moderate online communities to maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer questions and complaints.
- De-escalate conflicts and diffuse tense situations to support community harmony.
- Develop proactive engagement approaches that encourage an active, vibrant community.
- Share community feedback and insights with internal teams.
- Manage multiple conversations and tasks effectively in a remote environment.
- Create clear, friendly written and verbal communications across channels.
Qualifications
- Experience in customer support and online community moderation.
- Experience managing and engaging communities on platforms such as Discord and Reddit.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a thoughtful and empathetic approach.
- Strong conflict-management and de-escalation skills.
- A proactive, self-directed approach to problem-solving.
- Strong time-management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask under pressure.
- Adaptability and a willingness to provide additional support when community needs arise.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing large-scale online communities.
- Familiarity with a range of community platforms and CRM tools.
- A passion for building lasting relationships and improving user experiences.
Work Terms
- Full-time remote role for candidates based in Latin America.
Compensation
- $15 to $20 per hour.
