Community Manager [Remote]

Role Overview

Help create a positive, collaborative, and engaged online community by providing responsive support, moderating conversations, and ensuring members feel welcome and heard.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and moderate online communities to maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer questions and complaints.
• De-escalate conflicts and diffuse tense situations to support community harmony.
• Develop proactive engagement approaches that encourage an active, vibrant community.
• Share community feedback and insights with internal teams.
• Manage multiple conversations and tasks effectively in a remote environment.
• Create clear, friendly written and verbal communications across channels.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer support and online community moderation.
• Experience managing and engaging communities on platforms such as Discord and Reddit.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a thoughtful and empathetic approach.
• Strong conflict-management and de-escalation skills.
• A proactive, self-directed approach to problem-solving.
• Strong time-management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask under pressure.
• Adaptability and a willingness to provide additional support when community needs arise.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing large-scale online communities.
• Familiarity with a range of community platforms and CRM tools.
• A passion for building lasting relationships and improving user experiences.

Work Terms

• Full-time remote role for candidates based in Latin America.

Compensation

• $15 to $20 per hour.
