Community Manager [Remote]

Role Overview

Build a positive, collaborative, and engaged online experience for community members. In this full-time remote role, you will combine customer support, moderation, conflict resolution, and proactive engagement to help maintain a welcoming environment across community channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and moderate online communities to maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere.
• Respond promptly and professionally to member questions and customer complaints.
• Resolve issues proactively and de-escalate tense situations to support community harmony.
• Develop engagement approaches that encourage an active, vibrant community.
• Share community feedback and insights with internal teams.
• Manage multiple conversations and tasks effectively in a remote environment.
• Create clear, friendly, empathetic written and verbal communications across channels.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in customer support and online community moderation.
• Experience managing and engaging communities on platforms such as Discord and Reddit.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to clear and empathetic messaging.
• Strong conflict-management and de-escalation skills.
• Proactive, high-energy approach to problem-solving and ability to work independently.
• Excellent time-management skills in a remote setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask under pressure.
• Adaptability and willingness to provide additional support when community needs arise.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing large-scale online communities.
• Familiarity with a range of community platforms and CRM tools.
• Interest in building lasting relationships and delivering positive user experiences.

Work Terms

• Full-time, remote position for candidates based in Latin America.

Compensation

• $15 to $20 per hour.
