Transfer Station Manager

Job Summary Manages the day-to-day operations of multiple transfer stations. This role will primarily support Reno but will have oversight of 4 additional local locations. Responsibilities Monitors transfer stations’ work processes, procedures and expenses, and establishes programs that drive team performance toward departmental and organizational goals. Ensures smooth operation of multiple transfer stations, including gatehouse, sorting, and loading functions. Reviews and evaluates work to ensure quality, timeliness, and adherence to policies and procedures. Minimizes handling and operational costs and reduces off‑site impact. Coordinates frequently with the Director of Operations for opportunities and with sales for potential opportunities. Collaborates with MRF COE and Director of Operations to adjust site operations as commodity prices fluctuate. Regularly proposes means of improvement. Communicates and interfaces effectively with employees, supervisors, and vendors. Develops and interprets organizational goals, policies, and procedures, and reviews and updates project plans as necessary. Maintains a clean, safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and corporate standards. Physical Requirements Repetitive motions Eye/hand/foot coordination Talking Hearing Compensation The expected base pay range for this office/on‑site position is $90,000 - $100,000. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree (accredited) or an equivalent degree High School Diploma or GED (accredited) Seven years of relevant work experience. Seven years of prior work experience in addition to the education requirement. Preferred Qualifications None specified.
