Client Operations Lead - Agriculture & Software

About the Role

Veralogic builds and operates data and software platforms for companies in agriculture and food production. We are looking for a Client Operations Lead - Agriculture & Software - to be our primary day-to-day point of contact for clients in the Rupert area.

This hands-on position combines client support, field operations, project coordination, training, and software implementation . You will spend significant time working directly with clients at their offices, scale houses, storage facilities, and packing operations.

You do not need to be a software developer. You do need to be comfortable with technology, enjoy solving problems, communicate clearly, and take ownership of issues from beginning to end.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the first point of contact for client questions, issues, and requests.
• Troubleshoot issues and either resolve them directly or coordinate with the appropriate technical resources.
• Own client issues through resolution and keep users informed along the way.
• Maintain a regular on-site presence with clients throughout the Rupert and Mini-Cassia area.
• Learn how clients actually operate and identify opportunities to improve their processes and software.
• Support new software deployments, system changes, testing, and go-live activities.
• Coordinate client projects, schedules, action items, dependencies, and follow-ups.
• Gather and document business requirements before work is handed to engineering.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing and client sign-off.
• Train new users and provide training when new features are released.
• Create quick-start guides, documentation, FAQs, and other support materials.
• Track support and project performance and provide clear status reporting.
• Use modern AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude to improve productivity, documentation, training, and client support.

What We're Looking For

Required

• Live in or near Rupert, Idaho , within daily commuting distance of client sites in the Mini-Cassia area.
• 3+ years of experience in customer support, client services, field operations, project coordination, or a comparable client-facing role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of issues and follow them through resolution.
• Comfortable learning and working with software and technology.
• Able to work independently with a small, primarily remote team.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel regularly between client sites.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred

• Familiarity with agriculture, potato storage or packing, food processing, trucking/logistics, or another intensive operations industry .
• Experience supporting a software product or data platform.
• Experience coordinating projects with defined scope, schedules, and sign-off.
• Experience delivering end-user training.
• Experience establishing processes where none previously existed.
• Practical experience using AI assistants in a professional setting.

You are responsive, organized, curious, and accountable . You are comfortable working with both people and technology.

You may talk with an office manager in the morning, work alongside operators at a packing facility in the afternoon, and then clearly explain a problem or requirement to a software engineer.

You communicate early, follow through on commitments, stay composed when problems arise, and take ownership until the issue is resolved. These qualities align with the role's core competencies of responsiveness, judgment, written clarity, ownership, composure, curiosity, and credibility on site.

Technology You'll Work With

You'll work with Veralogic's web-based data and operations platforms along with:

• Microsoft 365 — Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel and Word
• ChatGPT and Claude
• Support and knowledge-base tools
• Web-based business applications

Basic SQL knowledge and experience troubleshooting browser-based applications are helpful but not required .

Work Environment

This is not a fully remote position . The position is intentionally based close to the clients it serves.

Work takes place at client offices and agricultural and food-production facilities, including storage cellars, packing sheds, and scale houses. Regular local driving is required. Some work may be performed from home as agreed.
