Hadoop Developer (In-person Required)

Job Description The main function of a Hadoop Developer is to design, develop, code, test, and debug new software or provide complex enhancements to existing software using Hadoop familiarity to develop and support big data analytics. The role includes: Develop code necessary to complete the assigned project in the specified timeframe. Design and maintain Big Data analytical algorithms to operate on petabytes of data. Write, modify, and debug software largely focused in the back-end and data layer. Identify and report problems in new and existing software; recreate reported software problems to facilitate solutions. Assist in the preparation of internal software design documentation. Architect and code multi-environment system solutions utilizing various programming languages. Employ best practices for design, development, unit testing and test plan development. Support completed software throughout the Software Development Life Cycle and in production. Study state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. 5-7 years experience required. Experience as a Software Developer using Hadoop technologies and interest to continue coding and developing. Strong understanding of data modeling. Either on Oracle or Hive side - (Required).
