The Department of Dermatology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible dermatologist to join our expanding academic faculty to deliver comprehensive medical and procedural care for patients with skin, hair, and nail disorders in an outpatient clinical setting at the University of Colorado Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care and possess a clear interest in developing a focused clinical niche within the department that complements existing programs and advances specialized patient care, education, and scholarly activity. They should enjoy working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, and contribute to our mission of clinical excellence, education, and access.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad spectrum of dermatologic conditions
• Perform common dermatologic procedures such as skin biopsies, cryotherapy, electrosurgery, and excision of benign and malignant lesions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate care with primary care physicians and specialists when needed.
• Supervise and teach dermatology residents, fellows, and medical students during outpatient clinics.
• Educate patients on skin health, disease prevention, and sun protection.
• Participate in departmental conferences and contribute to the academic environment through mentorship, scholarly activities, and quality improvement efforts.

Work Location: Onsite this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Assistant Professor: MD/DO degree, completion of an ACGME-accredited dermatology residency, board certification or board eligible in dermatology, eligibility for licensure to practice medicine in the state of Colorado.
• Associate Professor: MD/DO degree and 4+ years of experience in an academic setting, completion of an ACGME-accredited dermatology residency, board certification or board eligible in dermatology, eligibility for licensure to practice medicine in the state of Colorado.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Interest in teaching and working in an academic setting.
• Interest in developing a focused clinical niche within the department that complements existing programs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
