Human Resources Generalist

Position SummaryThe Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting key HR functions with a primary focus on payroll administration, benefits and leave coordination, and employee onboarding. This role serves as a trusted resource for employees and managers, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while delivering exceptional employee support throughout the employee lifecycle. Reports to Director of Human Resources.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPayroll AdministrationProcess bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll accurately and timely.Maintain employee payroll records, including wage changes, deductions, direct deposits, and tax updates.Produce fringe, 401, and other payroll-related reports.Benefits AdministrationAdminister employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement, and wellness programs.Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries.Facilitate benefit enrollments, life event changes, terminations, and annual open enrollment activities.Assist with benefits communication and employee education initiatives.Leave of Absence AdministrationCoordinate employee leave programs including FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation, parental leave, military leave, and other protected leaves.Review leave requests and determine eligibility in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Maintain accurate leave records and documentation, and coordinate return-to-work processes and accommodations when applicable.Communicate with employees, managers, and third-party administrators regarding leave status and requirements.Onboarding and Employee ExperienceCoordinate all aspects of the onboarding process for new hires.Partner with hiring managers to ensure a positive and seamless onboarding experience.Monitor onboarding effectiveness and recommend process improvements.General HR SupportMaintain employee personnel files and HRIS records.Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.Prepare HR reports, metrics, and workforce data analyses.Ensure compliance with company policies and local, state, and federal laws.EducationBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Experience3–5 years of Human Resources experience with direct responsibility for payroll, benefits administration, leave management, and onboarding.Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems.Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong understanding of payroll processing and benefits administration.Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, COBRA, ACA, HIPAA, ERISA, and related employment regulations.Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Physical RequirementsProlonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.Work EnvironmentOffice or hybrid work environment.Willingness to travel up to 20% #J-18808-Ljbffr
