Job Summary:

The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for welding, cutting, assembling, and repairing metal components according to blueprints and specifications. This position requires experience using welding equipment, hand tools, and fabrication machinery while maintaining high standards for quality, accuracy, and workplace safety. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Cut, shape, and smooth metal components using hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as plasma cutters, saws, and grinders.
• Weld metal parts using techniques like MIG, TIG, or other welding processes to ensure strong, precise joints
• Position and align components accurately before final welding, applying tack welds as needed.
• Inspect welded surfaces and structures for flaws, dimensional accuracy, and structural integrity.
• Maintain and repair welding equipment
• Apply finishing techniques

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous welding and metal fabrication experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and measurements
• Experience using grinders, saws, torches, and fabrication equipment
• Ability to measure, cut, fit, and assemble metal components accurately
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to inspect welds and identify defects
