Work may run concurrent with Nurse Aide Training Program (NATP) or commence following completion of NATP. Great opportunity to explore careers in post-acute care.Free Course Instruction with Full-time or Part-Time Employment:Course schedule TBD (anticipate 2-3 days per week)Duration: 100 hours, in-person instructionCourse instruction provided by State approved Nurse Aide Training ProgramWork as a Nurse Aide will commence following program completion at various locations:Ann Pearl Rehab & Nursing, Kaneohe, OahuHale Makua Kahului, Kahului, MauiHale Kupuna Heritage Home, Koloa, KauaiLegacy Hilo, Hilo, Hawaii IslandFinal step will include Prometric Exam to obtain Certified Nurse Aide statusThe Position:Nurse Aides/CNA's are the primary caregivers in post-acute and long-term care settings, providing nursing care and services for residents, that include personal and restorative care and activities of daily living.Ohana Nurse Aides (NAs) orient new residents to the unit and facility: Call system, bathroom, shower schedule, and common areas; introduces to residents; informs of meal schedule, snack times, and activities calendar.Nurse Aides (NAs) respond to resident calls, call bells, call lights, and alarms immediately. Responds to family requests.
