Senior Platform Software Engineer - AI Agents & Distributed Systems

Salary: $92,500 - 209,500 per year Requirements:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building distributed systems, developer platforms, CI/CD systems, infrastructure automation, or cloud services.
• Strong programming skills in Java, TypeScript, Python, Go, or similar languages.
• Experience operating reliable cloud services on OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, release automation, infrastructure as code, containers, orchestration, or deployment pipelines.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver maintainable solutions across complex systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Preferred: hands-on experience with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar agentic coding tools; using AI-generated code with rigorous review, testing, and ownership of production quality; applying AI to codebase exploration, test generation, refactoring, documentation, or migrations; building internal engineering platforms focused on developer experience and reliability; or working with release orchestration, progressive rollout, rollback validation, and large-scale production deployments.

• Design, implement, and operate Merino capabilities for OCI-scale CI/CD and change workflow orchestration.
• Own implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, operational readiness, and production support for platform services.
• Improve workflow reliability, deployment safety, scalability, observability, and developer experience.
• Build systems that integrate build, release bundle, change management, approval, rollback, and deployment workflows.
• Turn complex platform problems into clear, maintainable engineering solutions.
• Uphold high standards for code quality, system design, operational excellence, and maintainability.
• Use production signals and customer feedback to identify and prioritize platform improvements.
• Participate in design and code reviews, debugging, and technical planning.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to deliver reliable Merino platform capabilities.
• Apply AI-assisted and agentic coding workflows effectively while maintaining engineering rigor.

The listed U.S. hiring range is $92,500–$209,500 per year, with potential eligibility for bonus and equity; compensation depends on factors including skills, experience, market conditions, location, and internal equity.
