Salary: $114,600 - 234,600 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related coding-focused technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• At least 6 years of development or DevOps experience with large-scale, highly available distributed systems
• Expert-level Java skills and strong familiarity with Python and scripting
• Proficiency with cloud-based data store primitives and Java programming patterns
• Experience operating distributed services at scale
• Expertise in Linux and operating systems
• Strong knowledge of scalable distributed systems and multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure
• Systematic problem-solving skills, strong communication, ownership, and drive
• Deep understanding of service metrics and alarms, including dashboards, service KPIs, and alerting systems
• Openness to participating in on-call support and rotations
• Preferred: Proficiency with cloud and CI/CD environments, Terraform, Docker, modern build tools and pipelines, change control and mature operating processes, security (including identity, SSL, and certificates), and databases and data stores

• Define and evolve standard practices and procedures within the software engineering division
• Define, develop, design, and debug software applications or operating systems
• Design and implement a new service to support the future scale of Compute
• Build services and tools, and prototype solutions for strategic initiatives in Compute and AI infrastructure
• Propose, scope, design, and guide automation, optimizations, and enhancements
• Mentor junior engineers

Within OCI Compute, we provide bare-metal and virtual machines, including CPU and GPU systems.
