The Automotive Mechanic II will perform independent project tasks and collaborate with customers and team members. This a day shift in Allen Park, MI.As an Automotive Mechanic II, you will be responsible for:Maintaining vehicle functional condition by working off repair orders or leader instructions and conducting inspectionsRepairing mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replacing parts and componentsReading, interpreting, and following service proceduresMaintaining vehicle records by entering notes, service, and repair ordersKeeping shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairsParticipating in daily shop organization and clean-upsTo be considered an Automotive Mechanic II, you will need:High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 4 years of work experience as an automotive mechanicKnowledge of mechanical assembly and ability to operate shop equipment.Good attention to detail and organizational skillsAble to work independently and as part of a teamYour own tools with rolling toolbox and be able to work overtime and weekendsAbility to read, comprehend, and execute written proceduresA successful candidate may also have:Certificate in Automotive Technology or relatedNational Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification(s)State Mechanic Certification(s)Valid driver's licenseKnowledge of vehicle alignments, air conditioning (A/C) system repairs, tire machines and balancersAbility to support out of state trips as neededOur full-time benefits include: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, earned sick time, STD, LTD, 401K, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation, paid holidays, and more.If you share our passion for providing innovative solutions to complex challenges, we want you on our team.
