Junior Accountant

Location: Frisco, TX Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 (based on experience)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support our accounting operations and maintain organized financial records. This role is essential for ensuring all documentation is accurate and in compliance with company standards, working closely with our Controller. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in bookkeeping, excellent organizational skills, and experience in a service-oriented business environment. This position offers an opportunity to grow within a collaborative, supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial documents and ensure compliance with internal processes.
• Reconcile bank statements and transaction records to maintain accuracy.
• Support accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices and payments efficiently.
• Monitor cash flow and maintain proper documentation for recurring service contracts.
• Prepare and maintain billing records in collaboration with the service delivery team.
• Organize and file financial records for easy access.
• Assist with payroll processing and coordinate with HR to keep employee data current.
• Track and categorize expenses in line with company budgets.
• Support financial audits, tax preparation, and assist with financial forecasting and budgeting.
• Maintain up-to-date records in accounting software (e.g., Business Central or equivalent).

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience: At least 2 years of bookkeeping or relevant administrative experience, preferably in a service-oriented or IT-related industry.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Business Central) or similar.
  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and general office administration.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Familiarity with IT or managed service operations is a plus.
