Litigator / Practicing Attorney, US

Apply litigation expertise to help improve AI systems that generate and evaluate legal analysis. This remote contract opportunity centers on reviewing real-world legal content and providing precise, practice-informed feedback. No prior AI experience is required. Role Overview
You will contribute legal judgment to a project at the intersection of law and emerging technology, helping AI systems learn, reason, and perform more effectively across litigation and legal practice scenarios.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate, refine, and improve AI-generated legal briefs, arguments, and memoranda using legal reasoning and litigation experience.
- Assess outputs for factual and legal accuracy, analytical rigor, and adherence to professional standards.
- Provide detailed written feedback on errors, logical inconsistencies, and opportunities to strengthen legal responses.
- Apply expert judgment to ambiguous and complex edge cases to support nuanced legal calibration.
- Draft or edit sample legal language and arguments for varied litigation and practice contexts.
- Collaborate asynchronously with a cross-functional project team, incorporate iterative feedback, and communicate clearly in writing.
- JD from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school and an active license in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 3 to 15 years of post-JD legal experience, preferably in trial, appellate, or litigation practice.
- Strong legal reasoning, litigation and practice expertise, analytical rigor, legal writing, and precise written communication.
- Ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly, accurately, and professionally.
- Federal or state judicial clerkship experience is highly valued.
- Experience as a law journal editor or published legal author is a plus.
- Substantial trial experience, federal court admissions, or appellate practice experience strengthens candidacy.
- Legal education teaching experience, including law school faculty, adjunct, lecturer, or fellow roles, is desirable.
- Remote contract engagement.
- Open only to candidates located in the United States.
$80 to $140 per hour.
