About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Corporate Development. This role is pivotal in managing the end-to-end process of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, as well as leading major strategic projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for M&A execution, including the preparation of strategic and financial analyses, leading valuation and negotiation processes, and ensuring that all activities align with the company's strategic goals. The role demands a high level of collaboration, as the Corporate Development team works closely with segment and business unit leadership to support the execution of business strategies. The AVP will also be involved in talent management, leading a team of skilled professionals, and championing a high-performance, inclusive work environment. Applicants for the AVP, Corporate Development position at the company should have a minimum of 12 years' of relevant experience, with a background in investment banking, corporate development, accounting, or related fields. A strong educational foundation is required, including an undergraduate degree and one of the following designations: FSA/FCIA, MBA, CFA, CBV, or CPA. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial modeling, valuation, and transaction structuring, particularly within the context of financial institutions. Key qualifications include the ability to influence at all levels, a global mindset, and the flexibility to manage multiple priorities. The role also requires a high level of self-motivation, the ability to work under pressure, and a willingness to travel as necessary.
