About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required License: NM/Compact license required prior to start Certifications: ACLS, BLS, RCIS Must-Have: Must be able to take call for STEMI or Vascular Description: This position requires 36 hours of daytime work. The role involves taking call for 8-12 days per month. Candidates must have dialyzed experience and must be able to manage call for specific clinical cases. Position requires experience in circulating and scrubbing procedures in the Cath Lab. Knowledge of cardiac catheterizations, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias is essential. The ideal candidate will need to monitor procedural sedation as part of their responsibilities. Patients served include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily census ranges from 20-30 patients. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams. The nurse will be expected to float to similar units within their scope as needed. Travelers will require a brief orientation to the unit prior to starting.
