A small boutique law firm has an opening for the right mid- to senior-level plaintiff attorney.

Candidates without Prior litigation and trial experience in personal injury will not be considered.

To be considered for this position, you must have at least three years of prior experience in this role and with a consistent work history.

The ideal candidate should have at least 4 years of demonstrable litigation experience handling Personal Injury cases.

This position is non-remote and offers an opportunity for professional growth and development.

The plaintiff's attorney would manage a large caseload (70-100 cases) and handle all aspects of each case, with seasoned staff ready to assist. Must be familiar with drafting pleadings, memorandums of law, trial briefs, and aggressive motion practice necessary for litigation and settlement of pending civil action, including but not limited to personal injury, slip and fall, Wrongful death, labor law, trip and fall, municipality, automobile, rideshare, dog bite, products liability etc.

Attend status and pretrial conferences, mediation, arbitration, represent clients zealously, appeals when necessary, orally arguing motions, taking depositions, and ability to conduct trials. Strong negotiation, writing, and research skills are required to deliver proven results.

Bonus points: If bilingual, Spanish-speaking. 

We also occasionally represent indigent clients and do some pro bono work for the community.
An ideal candidate would be someone transitioning from solo practice to a small family firm who knows the whereabouts of a case from inception to conclusion. We are known for our integrity, reliability, and proven results while maintaining professionalism. Serious inquiries only.

What You Will Do:

• Lead civil litigation matters from intake through resolution, bringing sound judgment, strategic thinking, and a client-focused approach to every stage of the case.
• Draft persuasive pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery demands, legal correspondence, and other litigation documents with exceptional attention to detail.
• Conduct legal research and writing using Westlaw and other resources to develop compelling arguments involving torts, wrongful death, product liability, business litigation, class actions, and related civil claims.
• Prepare cases for depositions, settlement conferences, hearings, oral argument, trial, and potential appellate proceedings.
• Deliver confident oral advocacy in court while managing motion practice, law-and-motion calendars, and civil procedure deadlines.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and litigation support staff while helping develop team members and maintaining high standards of client service.

Required Qualifications:

• You hold a Juris Doctor degree and are admitted to practice law in New York, with substantial experience handling plaintiff-side civil litigation.
• You bring demonstrated strength in drafting pleadings, legal briefs, motions, and other legal documents that advance a case strategy.
• You possess excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills, including the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly to clients and colleagues.
• You understand civil procedure, trial preparation, discovery, and motion practice, and can manage matters with independence and accountability.
• You are a collaborative legal professional who values mentorship, employee development, organized case management, and compassionate client communication.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with personal injury litigation, wrongful death claims, product liability, appellate work, administrative law, class action litigation, or business litigation will help you make an immediate impact.
• Familiarity with litigation support tools and working effectively alongside paralegals is valued.

Compensation and Benefits:

• This role offers an annual salary of $87,917 to $130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
• Your benefits include a 401(k), vacation leave, sick leave, holiday pay, and paid time off.
