Data Engineer

Salary: $60,000 - 100,000 per year Requirements:

• Strong background in Python, SQL, and core data engineering practices
• Hands-on experience building ETL/ELT solutions
• Practical knowledge of Apache Spark, PySpark, or Databricks
• Understanding of data warehousing principles and dimensional data modeling
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Familiarity with data orchestration tools like Airflow
• Experience working with both relational and NoSQL databases
• Knowledge of data lakes and large-scale big data technologies
• Strong grasp of performance tuning and optimization techniques
• Experience using version control systems such as Git
• Exposure to Snowflake, Databricks, or Redshift
• Knowledge of Kafka or other real-time streaming technologies
• Experience with Terraform or infrastructure as code practices
• Familiarity with DevOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale data platforms
• Relevant cloud certifications are a plus

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data
• Develop and refine data ingestion, transformation, and integration workflows
• Create cloud-native data solutions using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Design and implement data models, data lakes, and data warehouse environments
• Uphold data quality, governance, security, and compliance standards
• Improve database performance and query efficiency for large datasets
• Put in place data monitoring, validation, and troubleshooting procedures
• Partner with Data Scientists, Analysts, Business Teams, and other stakeholders to support analytics initiatives
• Automate data workflows and deployments using CI/CD best practices

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to help us design, develop, and support scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data platforms. This is a 12+ month contract role open to W2 candidates only, with locations available in Pittsburgh, New York City, Jersey City, Tampa, and Boston. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, architects, and development teams to deliver reliable, high-performance data solutions that power enterprise analytics and reporting initiatives.
