Diesel Fleet Mechanic

Bauers IT is currently looking for an experienced B-Tech Diesel Fleet Mechanic for the San Francisco location.

*Qualifications*

* Diesel Mechanic must have complete working knowledge of engines, transmissions, differentials and other assemblies.
* Must have complete knowledge of how braking systems (hydraulic and air) work on a variety of vehicles.
* Must have complete working knowledge of HVAC systems on a variety of vehicles. (certification)
* Must have complete working knowledge of suspension, electronics, and air systems
* Must have full working knowledge of ADA vehicle operations
* Must have a B license or has committed to taking a class to be completed within a specified time frame to be agreed upon
* Must have 1 plus years of experience in the field
* Must have completion of advanced classes on all major vehicle models in the fleet, required to take 40 hours of online classes as directed per year.

*Responsibilities:*

* Use gauges, special tools, and specialized electronic equipment to diagnose mechanical failure or problems. Ability to use any maintenance/repair manual, parts catalog and maintenance software.
* Communicate with manufacturer representatives concerning repairs, parts and diagnostic equipment.
* Serve as team lead worker when assigned.
* Job requires mechanic to crawl under buses, stretch and lift heavy objects.
* Disassemble and perform partial or complete overhauls as necessary (Diesel, CNG and Gasoline combustion engines).
* Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Pay: $36.00 - $40.00 per hour
