A day in the life

Based in Forest, MS , you’ll be the go-to expert keeping our ammonia-based cold chain running safely and reliably. From sunrise checks to end-of-shift documentation, you’ll ensure our industrial refrigeration systems operate at peak performance—protecting product quality and team safety every step of the way.

• Diagnose and repair industrial refrigeration equipment, with a focus on ammonia systems.
• Install components and systems and verify performance to spec.
• Conduct routine inspections; spot issues early and resolve them quickly.
• Execute preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Document all work thoroughly and keep accurate maintenance records.
• Operate and work around forklifts and pallet jacks ; work from ladders , use fall protection , and follow Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Partner closely with teammates to maintain a safe, efficient environment.
• Stay current on refrigeration and HVAC/R trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Take on other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

• At least 1 year of mechanical work experience listed in your work history within the past 2 years (can be across multiple employers).
• Rehire eligibility: accepted only after 365 days and having worked less than 3 times at this facility.
• Must be 18+ years of age and present valid identification .
• Comfort using basic hand tools.
• Foundational knowledge of HVAC , chillers , boilers , and refrigerants (ammonia experience preferred).
• Ability to read and understand assignments.
• Physical capability to lift 50 lbs , climb 120-foot stairs and 60-foot ladders, stand for extended periods, and work in hot, cold, and inclement weather.
