Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician

What You'll Be Doing

• Travel to job sites to test soil, concrete, and construction materials

• Perform field testing and collect samples for lab analysis

• Document results and communicate findings with project teams

• Support quality assurance on real-world civil/structural projects

• Operate tools/equipment and handle materials safely on-site

• Work independently once trained, managing your own daily schedule

What We're Looking For

• Background in construction, labor, landscaping, farming, or field work

• Comfortable with physical work (lifting 50+ lbs regularly)

• Strong communication + ability to write clear reports

• Reliable, self-driven, and comfortable working outdoors

• Interest in construction, engineering, or materials testing

Nice to Have (Not Required)

• Experience with soil or concrete testing

• CMT, field tech, or construction inspection experience

• ACI / ICC certifications (or willingness to earn them)

• Civil or construction-related coursework or exposure

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
